With 25 years of serving and reaching our community, we have developed awesome relationships and partnerships. Through agencies such as Hope Mission, Community Kitchens; Interfaith Food Bank, Samaritan’s Purse, Our Lady Queen of Peace Ranch and our own Soulwarehouse Society we are making a impact on our community.


We have recently sold our building to Hope Mission but have arranged with them to stay in our current space, as tenants. With recent upgrades, our 8000 sq ft. rental space, in an urban warehouse building, is a great place for gathering and meeting for worship, meals, and coffee. We are located in the diverse International Avenue district of Calgary. The assets of the sale are set aside for our new beginning plan of moving further east to the new community of Belvedere in Calgary.


We are blessed to have our two Pastors and our bookkeeper on paid staff. Along with the Pastors, numerous volunteers serve in a variety of areas such as: outreach, worship team, Sunday host, kitchen duty, seniors and women ministries to mention a few. We are using some of the latest technology to establish community presence and stay connected through Facebook, Twitter, our new website, and monthly electronic newsletters.


We value getting along and we have learned how to appreciate and encourage one another. We celebrate the small wins as well as the big ones. We take time to listen and try to honour the views of all. We are a healthy multi ethnic and multi generational family who aim to include and accept each other in patience and love.


All our key leaders work at empowering, involving and training others. Our Lead Pastor has served Evangel for 16 years, giving stability to the ministry. Our leadership teams are culturally diverse expressing the nature of our community and of God’s Kingdom. We are affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada a worldwide fellowship of Spirit empowered churches and ministries.


We are grateful to God that our ministries at Evangel are growing in size and impact. Our Women of Worth, eHangouts Youth, Best Years, Front Porch groups and Sunday worship gatherings serve a wide variety of people of all backgrounds. Our financial support base has also consistently grown over the years. .


Whether it is our annual stampede breakfast that is serving over 500 people or our seasonal banquets that touch many families we are always extending a hand to others. Our witness is found in practical activities such as our weekly food bank and our summer kids camp for economically challenged families. We are proud of our new partnership with Hope Mission where we are helping local kids find God and a safe place in the community to go.

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
